Why Is Trash Compactor Not Working?

Was the On button pressed before starting the trash compactor?
On some trash compactor models it is necessary to press the On button before operation. If necessary review the Use & Care Guide for instructions.

Is the power supply plugged in?
If unplugged, insert plug into 3-prong grounded outlet.

Is there a tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse?
Check to see if a fuse in the home has blown or a circuit breaker has been tripped. If the issue continues it is best to contact an electrician.

Is the knob turned completely to the start position?
Rotate the key-knob (switch) completely to Start and release.

Is trash compactor door completely closed?
If the drawer to the trash compactor is not fully closed, close the drawer and attempt to operate the trash compactor again. If the door cannot be fully closed then contact Columbine Appliance & Fireplaces for further assistance.
